AC Shadows Reveals Unexpected AoT Collaboration for Holiday Season
In a bizarre crossover event that challenges usual expectations, Ubisoft has unveiled an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering free additional story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Disclosed
According to the formal announcement, "A mysterious confrontation leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where whispers of forbidden rituals and terrifying transformations resonate through the darkness." The plot presents a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a clandestine group.
The mission centers on "bizarre tests and a terrifying enemy" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Changes
The teaser highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview ends with a striking scene showing a character, probably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Prizes and Bonus Material
Players who successfully complete the adventure will obtain an unique katana in addition to numerous artifacts concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
